About
Independent advisory supporting organisations navigating complex international environments through structured analysis and practical decision support.
Background
ES Advisors was established to support organisations operating across borders in environments shaped by political, regulatory, and operational complexity. The firm’s work focuses on translating these dynamics into clear, structured analysis that supports informed decision-making.
Its approach combines research, contextual understanding, and practical judgement, with particular focus on travel risk, geopolitical developments, and China-related operating environments. This reflects a recognition that many organisations have access to information, but lack the structured interpretation needed to understand how different forces combine to shape exposure, constraints, and outcomes.
The firm’s work is grounded in direct professional experience across international risk environments, including nearly a decade in travel risk intelligence and extended exposure to China’s political, business, and operating context. This combination supports analysis that is both structured and closely aligned with real-world decision-making requirements.
Founder
Emanuele Scansani has more than a decade of professional experience across travel risk intelligence, geopolitical analysis, and international operations, with a focus on helping organisations understand complex operating environments and make better-informed decisions.
His work sits at the intersection of structured risk analysis, open-source intelligence, and practical decision support. He has analysed international security, political, and geopolitical developments, translated fast-moving information into clear assessments for organisations operating across borders, and supported corporate travel risk management programmes through the integration of structured risk analysis.
He is a certified ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager, a former member of the GBTA Europe Risk Committee, and contributed to the review and quality testing of ISO 31030 during its final development stages prior to release. This background informs ES Advisors’ emphasis on structured methodology, explicit uncertainty, and analysis designed to support decisions rather than simply describe events.
His background also includes extensive experience related to China, including direct exposure to its political, business, and regulatory environment, as well as work involving cross-border analysis and the implications of China-related developments for foreign organisations. This combination underpins ES Advisors’ China-focused risk intelligence work: a structured approach to monitoring signals, assessing exposure, and translating China-related developments into business-relevant implications.
